Professor Nancy Hill (GSE) and Rendall Howell were delighted to host Professor Cornel West. Philosopher, political activist, social critic, and author, Professor West focuses on the role of race, gender, and class in American society. He has written twenty books, most notably Race Matters and Democracy Matters. In his own words, Cornel West "has a passion to communicate to a vast variety of publics in order to keep alive the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. - a legacy of telling the truth and bearing witness to love and justice."
